The Himalayan Aero Sports Association is registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 in Dehradun. The main objective of the association is to provide a national platform for the aero-sport pilot community in India and to promote, develop, facilitate aero-sports.

Our aim is to propagate, encourage and grow aero-sports activities such as Paragliding, Powered Paragliding (Foot Launched & Trike), Powered Hang Gliding, Drones and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Hot Air Ballooning and Aeromodeling to name a few.

We assist and support states to frame and strengthen guidelines to encourage and grow these sports in a safe and sustainable manner by conducting training for said aero-sports with a view to generate employment for local youth so as to encourage growth of aero-sports based tourism as well as conduct festivals, events and competitions to popularize aero-sports in order to generate revenue for the states.

We help facilitate the above objectives by locating, validating and developing of new flying destinations.

The association plans to create a bank of aero-sports enthusiasts to compete at national and international events and competitions and earn laurels for the state as well as the nation.

In addition, our experience & expertise coupled with our inventory of single and twin seater flying machines and experienced pilots are available to the state tourism departments for display flying as well as the forest departments for seed disbursement and forest fire management in remote and inaccessible areas as well as aiding local administrations in carrying out disaster relief and search & rescue flights.
